FHA Response to NAR and MBA Regarding Independent Party Contributions (IPCs)

In response to a letter from NAR requesting clarification on the impact to FHA's underwriting guides from a proposed settlement in the Burnett et al and Moehrl et al cases, the FHA clarified that the practice of sellers paying listing agents' fees would remain customary and therefore excluded from independent party contributions (IPCs).
