NAR Letter to Senators Wicker and Peters Regarding S. 558, the FLOODS Act

On April 27 NAR sent a letter to Senators Wicker and Peters. The letter thanks the senators for  introducing S. 558, the Flood Level Observation, Operations, and Decision Support or “FLOODS” Act. S. 558 would authorize the Atlas 14 program to regularly update the rainfall estimates used to support more accurate floodplain mapping and management. The bill would also modernize NOAA forecasting and provide more timely, actionable information that could help avoid flood and hurricane losses to both property and life.
