Coalition Support Letter to Representative Velazquez Regarding FHA-FFB Risk Sharing Legislation

On November 6 NAR as part of a coalition of organizations representing affordable housing developers, owners, and lenders sent a letter to Representative Velazquez. The letter expresses support for the legislator's bill which would reinstate and expand the successful multifamily risk-sharing partnership between HUD/FHA and the Treasury Department/Federal Financing Bank (FFB). This partnership has proven to be an excellent source of long-term, fixed-rate mortgages for urgently needed affordable rental housing.
