On June 24 NAR sent a letter to Representative González-Colón. The letter thanks Representative González-Colón for introducing H.R. 2309, The Real Estate Exchange Fairness Act. This legislation would extend like-kind exchange tax treatment between real property in Puerto Rico and the rest of the United States. Enactment of this provision would create an important incentive for economic investment on the island.
