NAR Letter to Senators McConnell and Schumer and Representatives Pelosi and McCarthy Regarding NFIP Extension

On September 11, NAR sent a letter to Congressional leaders calling attention to the impending September-30 expiration of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).  NAR urged Congress to ensure that the NFIP is reauthorized for the longest term possible and pushed for immediate consideration of the NFIP Reauthorization Act (H.R. 3167), which includes a 5-year reauthorization as well as significant mapping, mitigation and private flood insurance reforms supported by NAR member policy.
