On May 29, NAR and a coalition of financial services groups sent a letter to Congressional leaders urging an immediate extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) prior to its expiration Friday evening. The letter reinforces that millions of American families depend on an operating NFIP, expressed disappointment over a few objections to passage of overwhelmingly bipartisan bills, and calls on all members of Congress to allow for the NFIP to be extended prior to a lapse
