NAR Coalition Letter on 3DEP to House Appropriations committee on Interior

On April 8, NAR co-signed a flood map coalition letter to Chairwoman McCollum and Ranking Member Joyce of the U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies. The letter expresses support for the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) 3D Elevation Program (3DEP). The USGS is the lead agency involved in collecting high resolution (“LiDAR”) data that FEMA uses to improve mapping accuracy. The letter asks Chairwoman McCollum and Ranking Member Joyce to support the USGS's recommendation to provide $146 million to 3DEP.
