NAR Coalition AHP Statement to Energy & Commerce, Health committee

On February 13, NAR, as part of The Coalition to Protect and Promote Association Health Plans, submitted a statement for the record to the House Committee on Energy & Commerce, Health Subcommittee. The focus of the hearing is a final rule allowing consumers to keep short-term, limited-duration health plans for more than 3 months. The Coalition statement clarifies that these gap-bridging healthcare options are different than Association Health Plans, which enable small employers and the self-employed to band together and buy comprehensive coverage that is often less expensive than individual or small group market plans.
