Coalition Letter to Senate Leadership Supporting Kraninger Nomination

Issue Date: November 13, 2018

On November 13, 2018, NAR, as part of a coalition of housing and financial industries, sent a letter to Republican Leader McConnell, Democratic Leader Schumer, and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. The letter expresses support for the nomination of Kathleen Kraninger as the Director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. Ms. Kraninger has the ability to lead and manage a large government agency, like the Bureau, which is tasked to ensure consumers’ financial interests are protected. Ms. Kraninger will also fulfill the equally important role of ensuring businesses have the necessary compliance support to further those interests.
