NAR Coalition Letter to Congressional Leaders Opposing Anti Wayfair Legislation

US HR 6824 - Online Sales Simplicity and Small Business Relief Act of 2018
On September 17, 2018 NAR, as part of a coalition, sent a letter to House and Senate leadership. The signatories, who represent organizations and the companies with both an online and physical presence, oppose legislation that would erode the progress towards tax parity that was handed down by the United States Supreme Court in the June 2018 Wayfair decision. Congress inserting themselves post-ruling would create additional uncertainty and further complicate the implementation process, while undermining the level playing field created by the Wayfair decision.
