NAR Support Letter to Senate Banking Committee for Kraninger BCFP Director Nomination

On August 22, 2018 NAR sent a letter to the U.S. Senate Banking Committee. The letter expresses NAR’s support for Kathleen Kraninger’s nomination to be Director of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (the Bureau). Since its creation, NAR has enjoyed a solid, longstanding relationship with the Bureau, but it has not been without hurdles. As the Committee is poised to confirm a permanent Director, NAR is hopeful that under Ms. Kraninger’s leadership, the Bureau will continue to be more transparent and more accountable in providing much needed regulatory certainty for the real estate industry.
