NAR Support Letter to Senate VA Committee Regarding VA Home Loan Guaranty Program

On July 30, 2018 NAR sent a letter to the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs. The letter expresses NAR’s support of the VA home loan guaranty program. REALTORS® support efforts to strengthen this benefit for our nation’s veterans, and ensure they have every opportunity to own a home of their own. NAR supports policies that will increase availability of this program, so that all qualified veterans can continue taking advantage of it. However, as a benefit, NAR believes that VA loan guarantee fees should be based on the risk of the loan made, and not the costs of other VA programs or benefits.
