On April 26, 2018 NAR submitted a letter in response to the CFPB's Request for Information (RFI) regarding the Bureau's Civil Investigative Demands and Associated Processes. In the letter NAR asserts that as one of the many ways the Bureau investigates and enforces Federal consumer financial protection laws, the procedures for Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) must be consistent, reasonable, and straightforward to promote fairness and certainty for covered entities.
