NAR Coalition Letter on 3DEP to House Appropriations committee on Interior

On March 22, NAR co-signed a flood map coalition letter to Chairman Calvert and Ranking Member McCollum of the U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies. The letter expresses support for the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) 3D Elevation Program (3DEP). The USGS is the lead agency involved in collecting high resolution (“LiDAR”) data that FEMA uses to improve mapping accuracy. The letter asks Chairman Calvert and Ranking Member McCollum to support the USGS's recommendation to provide $146 million to 3DEP.
