NAR AADT Coalition Letter Full Senate Regarding SALT and Senate Floor Vote

On November 29, 2018 NAR as part of a broad coalition of stakeholders sent a letter to thr full Senate. The letter urges Senators to maintain the full deduction for state and local taxes (SALT) as part of tax reform legislation. The letter further asks Senators to support all amendments on the floor to fully restore SALT, if offered. In the event that the full SALT deduction is not preserved in the Senate’s tax reform legislation, the letter urges Senators to to vote no on the legislation on final passage as the only means to preserve this longstanding federal policy vital to middle class taxpayers, home values, state and local governments, and the public services in the nation's communities.
