On July 26, 2017, The National Association of REALTORS® sent a letter to the full Senate asking for support and co-sponsorship of S. 563, “The Flood Insurance Market Parity and Modernization Act” by Senators Dean Heller (R-NV) and Jon Tester (D-MT). This bill would clarify that property owners may meet the federal mandatory purchase requirement with private market flood insurance.
