NAR Energy Code Coalition Letter. NAR as part of a broad industry coalition sent a letter to House Speaker Ryan and Minority Leader Pelosi supporting the North American Energy Security and Infrastructure Act of 2015 (H.R. 8). The legislation includes a provision known as “Blackburn/Schrader,” that would encourage meaningful energy savings for buildings by ensuring that new model building energy codes are achievable, technology-neutral and cost-effective. We also encourage you to vote AGAINST any amendment that would strike this provision.
