On October 30, 2015 NAR provided recommendations for "Fighting the Problems of Poverty and Housing Affordability" as requested by Chairman Hensarling and the House Financial Services Committee. The comments provided strategies including HUD restructuring and the easing of restrictions on FHA mortgage financing.
