NAR Coalition of Joint Trades Letter to House committee Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Supporting Prohibition of Eminent Domain Seizure of Mortgages

NAR Coaliton of joint trades letter to House in support of the eminent domain prohibition rider that was adopted in the FY2015 THUD measure.
The letter expresses support for a broad range of programs to assist struggling homeowners and the communities in which they reside. However the coalition believes that using the power of eminent domain in this manner would harm our nation’s housing markets and the very communities it is intended to help. The letter urges the Committee to maintain the current law prohibiting federal funds for this purpose.
