NAR Thanks the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs for introducing the U.S. Covered Bonds Act of 2011. NAR believes this legislation can offer increased liquidity and safety of our commercial and residential secondary mortgage markets by creating a statutory framework for a covered bond market.
